Game Review
In a surprising turn of events, AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Como in their Serie A clash on Wednesday, 18 February 2026. The result was unexpected given AC Milan's status as favorites, especially playing at home against a lower-ranked side. The match saw both teams sharing the spoils, with goals from Rafael Leão (GAP +0.8%) for AC Milan and Nico Paz (GAP +2.8%) for Como. The game began with Como taking an early lead in the 32nd minute through Nico Paz, who capitalized on a defensive lapse from Milan. This goal set the tone for a competitive encounter, with Como showing resilience and tactical discipline. AC Milan responded in the second half, with Rafael Leão leveling the score in the 64th minute, demonstrating his attacking prowess. From a tactical standpoint, AC Milan's lineup featured no changes from their previous match, maintaining consistency in their approach. Key players like Luka Modric (GAP +4.3%) and Fikayo Tomori (GAP +5.3%) were instrumental in maintaining structure and stability at the back. However, despite their efforts, Milan struggled to break down a well-organized Como defense led by Jean Butez (GAP +4.5%) in goal, who made several crucial saves. Como's lineup also remained unchanged, with Sergi Roberto (GAP -1.4%) anchoring the midfield. The away side's strategy to absorb pressure and hit on the counterattack paid dividends, as they managed to secure a valuable point against a top-tier opponent. The draw leaves AC Milan in a challenging position as they aim to secure a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Como will be buoyed by this result, which could serve as a catalyst for their survival hopes in Serie A. Both teams will need to build on this performance in their upcoming fixtures to achieve their respective season goals.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
